Cape Town’s Baxter Theatre presents the best in stand-up comedy this winter. The award-winning Cape Town Funny Festival showcases stand-up comedy from some of the best local and international performers.
Back in the Mother City for a four-week run, the Jive Cape Town Funny Festival (formerly the Vodacom Funny Festival) brings supremely talented local and international comedians together for a hilarious showdown at the Baxter Theatre from Monday, 10 July to Sunday, 06 August 2017.
Since its inception a decade ago, the stand-up shindig has run at full capacity, and in 2017, the comedic affair hopes to captivate some thousands of Cape Town-based comedy lovers over the course of its 30 performances (there’s essentially a performance daily during the run). This year, the hilarious ensemble includes a talented juggler, the new king of pickpockets, one of the world’s most entertaining comedy pianists and some of the Mother City’s own home-grown funnymen and women.
This year the festival of humour is pulling out all the stops with a line-up that is bigger and better than before, you absolutely cannot afford to miss this one. Book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
